The Idaho State Capitol is located in Boise Idaho. Hydro-Tech, Inc. performed the following work on this historic structure.
Work included seismic structural stabilization between levels, carbon fiber rod installation on interior dome masonry walls, interior stabilization of the plaster dome utilizing FRP on the back side of the plaster dome and FRP structural ties to the steel superstructure above the dome. Work also included exterior re-pointing, caulking, washing and sealing. Granite repairs were made to the main entry steps. Carbon fiber rods were also used on the exterior parapet walls to structurally tie the parapet to the main roof deck. Restoration of the eagle atop the dome was followed by gold gilding application to the restored eagle. Work also included lead paint abatement on each of the glass skylight sections on each side of the dome. The dome was also cleaned and caulked.
